Osmero probranih hrvatskih i inozemnih violončelista, koji se ističu iznimnim talentom i profesionalnim putom, zajedno će stvoriti jedinstvenu čaroliju i time odati počast svojoj violončelističkoj školi i otvorenju 63. sezone Koncerata u Eufrazijani. Koncept pripremljenog programa prikazuje sve mogućnosti spektra zvuka koje može proizvesti osam violončela u najrazličitijim glazbenim sadržajima. Uz skladbe C. Gesualda, G. Fauréa, L. v. Beethovena, R. Matza, S. Barbera, G. Sollime i H. Villa-Lobosa izvest će se praizvedbe, ali i klasična djela koja će istaknuti svu raskoš ovoga instrumenta, koji će posebno zablistati u estetski i akustički besprijekornom prostoru Eufrazijeve bazilike.

Eight carefully selected Croatian and foreign cellists, all of whom stand out with their exceptional talent and professional accomplishments, are coming together to make a unique kind of magic come to life, paying tribute to their cello school and honouring the opening of the 63^rd season of Concerts in Euphrasiana. The concept of their program showcases the whole spectrum of sound that can be produced by eight cellos in a wide selection of musical pieces. Along with the pieces by C. Gesualdo, G. Fauré, L. v. Beethoven, R. Matz, S. Barber, G. Sollima and H. Villa-Lobos, several pieces will be performed for the first time. The program will also feature classical works that will highlight all the splendour of this instrument, and the aesthetically and acoustically flawless space the Euphrasian Basilica offers will help the pieces shine.
